NATIVE MEDICINAL PLANTS of ARIZONA
DATE: Saturday, June 15, 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Native plants were once the main source of medicine for indigenous people and even for early European settlers who learned from the caretakers of this vast pharmacy. Our bioregion is still rich with native plants that possess a wide range of therapeutic properties. In this class we will examine the medicinal properties of plants native to Arizona. Many of these plants grow throughout the southwest and some may even be thriving in your own garden or landscape. Understanding our native plant pharmacy is key using it wisely while protecting it and ensuring that it is intact for future generations.
